HERNIS CCTV systems integration at Sakhalin

When the Sakhalin onshore facilities Odoptu and Chayvo are integrated with the offshore platform Arkutun Dagi, the four HERNIS CCTV systems on the sites will be integrated via Fiber Optic Cable and Microwave link, so that the operators can see and operate cameras from each of the other systems. The systems are located many kilometers apart, still work seamlessly as one.

The Sakhalin I project includes the development of the three oilfields, Chayvo, Odoptu and Arkutun-Dagi located on the northeast shelf of Sakhalin on the East coast of Russia. HERNIS has provided four HE500 CCTV Systems for the Sakhalin 1 Project, all of which will be integrated. Chayvo and Odoptu are currently in operation and integrated. Arkutun-Dagi will use two HERNIS 500 Systems which have already been delivered, but construction of the Offshore Platform itself, is not yet completed. When completed, all four HERNIS 500 Systems will be integrated and be able to view and control cameras from each of the other systems. Chayvo OPF (Onshore Processing Facility) HE500 has 25 cameras and 5 operator stations. Another 3 cameras are located remotely, at the Chayvo Onshore Well Site which is several kilometers East of the Chayvo OPF. Odoptu FSP (First Stage Production) HERNIS 500 has 49 cameras and 5 operator stations. It is located near the Yastreb Landrig which is 75km (46 miles) North of the Chayvo OPF. Arkutun-Dagi Offshore Platform uses one HERNIS 500 CCTV System for drilling and a second HERNIS 500 for process surveillance. The drilling CCTV has 24 cameras and 5 operator stations. The process CCTV system has 49 cameras and 10 operator stations. The Arkutun-Dagi Offshore Platform will be located 25km (15 miles) East of the Chayvo OPF.

HERNIS also supplied the CCTV solution for the Orlan Offshore Platform used to drill the Sakhalin sites.
